The cheese of the "Teteven" dairy was awarded the "Favourite of the public" prize at the Cheese Festival in Slivnitsa.
The certificate and the plaque were presented to us in the Arena "Slivnitsa" hall, where the exhibition was held on March 18 and 19, 2023.
This is the second edition of the international festival, organized by the Local Initiative Group "Slivnitsa-Dragoman" under the project "Say Cheese! Balkan cheese!". The international initiative was implemented with European funding under the Program for the Development of Rural Areas. 17 dairies and producers of cheese and dairy products from Bulgaria and Serbia participated in the exhibition this year.
Residents and guests of Slivnica had the opportunity to try and buy cheese and dairy products produced according to authentic recipes. There was great interest in what was offered at the stand of Dairy "Teteven" products - "Vezhen" cheese, "Premium" cheese, cow's butter, processed cheese, produced in the Teteven Balkan.
The festival gave the visitors the opportunity to choose the dairy products that are closest to the traditional Bulgarian taste. The votes of the guests gave us the prestigious second place in the "Audience Favorite" category. The same award was given to Mezence.bg from the city of Bankya, the farmer Alexander Ivanov from the village of Galabovtsi, Slivnitsa municipality; Destan dairy from Iskra village, Silistra municipality and Bratushkovo dairy from Slivnitsa municipality.
This is not the first award that Teteven Dairy has received for its dairy products with an authentic Bulgarian taste. In 2021 and 2022 our products were distinguished with a Gold Medal and diploma at the "World of Milk" exhibition. We received the same distinction at the prestigious exhibition in 2016. and in 2015
